Chris Jericho will present `` Robot Combat League`` in February 2013.

Former WWE superstar, Chris Jericho returns to SyFy channel, but not the WWE. Entertainment Weekly announced Tuesday that Jericho will be the presenter of Robot Combat League, a show that will premiere on February 26, 2013.

Syfy president Mark Stern told EW:

"It has always been our desire to update and do a Battle Bots for the new century. Can we make Real Steel? Are we in a place where you can make real biped robots? Every time I try to do, we were hampered by technology" .

The league will have 12 teams, each consisting of a fighter (the "robo-jockey") and a robotics engineer (the "robo-tech"). The fighters and technicians are of different origins, including an Olympic athlete, a helicopter pilot in the National Guard, a racing driver and Amanda Lucas, MMA fighter and daughter of George Lucas ("Star Wars").

The fights consist of three tests, with the winning team advancing to the next round. The winning team will be $ 100,000.

Chris Jericho set every fight and provide comments play-by-play.
