Alberto Del Rio won the World Heavyweight Title defeating The Big Show for the WWE wants to pitch to Alberto Del Rio as the new Latin great babyface of the company.
The reason is that Rey Mysterio spends more time lately outside than inside the company and Sin Cara will practically categorized as a disappointment, indeed, Sin Cara was ready for work this week, but was not used.
The idea is to popularize Alberto Del Rio over Mysterio and Sin Cara to be the genuine Mexican WWE.
And it was with this idea that Del Rio was signed years ago.
The Last Man Standing stipulation was added to his match against The Big Show so he could survive a good load of punishment before as great babyface overcome to achieve the title.
It is said that Del Rio would win the title on Raw January 7, but could not occur for some personal problems of Alberto.
